Covid-19 vaccinations are to be offered to 5-11 year olds on the Island.
Following the latest advice from the UK’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation, two doses of the Pfizer paediatric vaccine will be offered at least three months apart.
Giving the vaccine to this age group will offer protection from serious illness and hospitalisation if another wave of Covid infections strikes.
The government says as the risk is much lower for young children, the priority is still to offer vaccines and boosters to adults and young people.
