From next week, Douglas Borough Council is resuming its bulk waste collection service in the capital.
From next Monday (June 22) the authority will be able to pick up items that can't usually be put in normal bins such as TV's, fridge freezers, large furniture and other electrical items.
It won't, however, take builders waste and used gas canisters.
Officials say it's a chargeable service, but you can get a free quote by contacting Waste Services at refuse@douglas.gov.im or over the phone 696445.
Elsewhere, paper waste collections will also get back up and running in the capital and in Braddan on the same day, with residents asked to put any paper in separate boxes to cans and glass bottles.
The authority adds it hopes to resume the collection of plastic bottles in the next four to six weeks and an announcement will be made in due course via its social media channels.
