Douglas Council says it wants to make a series of improvements at a car park on Douglas Promenade.
The local authority has applied for planning permission to replace bollards and railings at the Bottleneck Car Park on Loch Promenade.
In its application, it says it also wants to move the car park's two pay machines together and build a new wheelchair-friendly shelter for them.
The council says the new shelters would match the style of the rest of the prom.
