Douglas Council has gone green in its greenhouses - with renewable energy heat.
The local authority says it's replaced oil-fired heating at its Ballaughton nursery with an air source heat pump.
The project saw the council win an award for most innovative public sector project in the government's Energy Awards this year.
Councillor Ritchie McNicholl, chairman of the environmental services committee, says it saves ratepayers £12,000 a year.
