Some staff of a restaurant in Peel are under quarantine after returning back from China.
The Jade Harbour Chinese restaurant took to social media to make the announcement.
In a post it says “According to NHS advice regarding the outbreak of WuHan Coronavirus that whoever coming back to UK from China needs to quarantine for at least 14 days.”
It adds “As you may know some of our staff had gone back to China to celebrate Chinese New Year. Although the case is NOT confirmed by the hospital but for the Health Safety of our staff and the community, we had decided to extend our closure time until 6th February 2020!”
The disease has already claimed the lives of over 100 people and infected hundreds of others but so far no cases have been reported on the Isle of Man or in the UK.
The restaurant has apologised for any inconvenience.
