The Department of Education and Children is asking people for their views about two schools sharing the same site.
The plan would see St Thomas' Primary School move to Scoill Vallajeelt from September next year.
Both would retain their names, staff and governors and St Thomas' would remain a Church of England school.
The government's now asking for the public's views on the plan in a formal consultation.
