A construction worker has avoided being thrown off the island after admitting disorderly behaviour on licensed premises.
Stephen Roberts of Burnley appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 33-year-old admitted the offence in 1886 in Douglas on March 2.
He was asked to leave but tried to get back in and ended up being arrested with two friends when they became verbally abusive and aggressive.
Defence advocate David Clegg said Roberts was on a long-term air conditioning contract and an exclusion order would put his job at risk.
Magistrates decided not to exclude him, but fined Roberts £900 and ordered him to pay £125 costs.
