The Chair of Manx Utilities says work on the Peel sewage treatment works is progressing on schedule.
Speaking in the House of Keys this week, John Wannenburgh said the site is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2027.
Mr Wannenburgh also pledged to provide the public with more regular updates and a countdown to the plant becoming operational.
He added screening equipment that prevents large items such as wet wipes from entering Peel Bay will begin operating from September this year.
