The Isle of Man Constabulary is looking to recruit volunteers to its special constable team.
The role, which carries the same legal powers as a police constable, involves frontline response work.
Successful applicants can also expect to be working with the victims of crime, witnesses and suspects.
The personal skills required are patience, courage, flexibility, understanding and the ability to think and act quickly.
