A Ballasalla waste company has admitted sending a driver out in an untaxed lorry.
Paddleman Ltd, based on the Balthane Industrial Estate, trades as Askbuck and the firm admitted two offences via coroner's admission before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The court heard one of its trucks was stopped by police on Cooil Road in Braddan on March 7, when officers discovered the lorry wasn't taxed and its driver didn't have the correct licence.
The company admitted aiding and abetting driving without a valid licence and having no tax.
In a letter to the court, a company director said the truck had been awaiting an MOT and he'd simply forgotten to tax it.
Magistrates fined the company £225 and ordered it to pay £50 costs.
