Douglas Council is to spend almost £1,000 on a community orchard in Noble's Park.
An area near the lower junior play area already has pathways and access to water for the project.
The orchard would see nine edible fruit trees planted, as well as raised beds for other soft fruits.
The council says the project would be funded through existing budgets.
