A Tynwald committee looking into the Douglas promenade refurbishment is welcoming proposals on the matter from Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan MHK.
Mr Cannan has proposed creating a centralised major projects unit to help boost the initiative, an idea the Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee says it now 'awaits with interest'.
The panel is currently holding an inquiry into the refurb, looking in particular at the effect it's having on businesses in the area.
It's added it wants to contribute to efforts from the Treasury and DOI to put together 'considered and targeted compensation models' for any organisation affected by the work.
