A Tynwald committee looking into the issues of poverty will be taking evidence next week.
A select committee will hear evidence from witnesses in relation to the definition of it.
Michael Manning, of Graih, Neal Mellon of the IOM Foodbank and Lieutenant Dylan Nieuwoudt and Derek Norton of the Salvation Army are due to appear.
It's due to take place on Monday, December 3, at Legislative Buildings in Douglas at 10.30am.
