Commissioners in the South of the Island are looking to provide 'warm hubs for winter shelter'.
In a post on social media, Arbory and Rushen Parish Commissioners say they're looking to provide 'welcoming warm places' people can visit, amid the rising cost of living.
The board says its 'acutely aware' people are worried about bills and will be trying to count pennies by trying to reduce fuel costs.
It says staying warm in winter is essential for people's wellbeing - and doesn't want those sitting at home by themselves, in the cold.
Further details are yet to be ironed out - with the Commissioners asking for people's opinions on timings, potential food and activities.
The venues for these sessions are likely to be Arbory Parish Hall and Ballafesson Methodist Church Hall.
