Ramsey commissioners are asking people to report incidents if they see anyone messing with lifesaving equipment.
The local authority says it's finished replacing life rings around the lake in Mooragh Park.
Its Maintenance Department has installed the high-visibility units which have a quick release toggle to access the ring inside.
But the commissioners say the rings are vital to save lives, and are urging you to call 810100 if you spot anyone tampering with them.
