Ramsey commissioners say they'll show their commitment to the environment by not mowing the grass.
The local authority took to Facebook to say it had identified some areas as potential wildflower sites - so they'll be left alone.
The board says it's working with the Manx Wildlife Trust to protect and enhance local biodiversity.
And it adds it'll clearly signpost the unmowed areas to help the community understand their purpose.
