The Department of Home Affairs has published a code of practice geared toward promoting positive race relations on the Island.
It’s aimed at helping those who work in areas such as the Civil and Emergency Services as wel as other public services.
It sets out what is expected of them in terms of fostering good race relations whilst carrying out their functions and provision of services.
Minister Adrian Earnshaw has called it a very important piece of legislation for the Island, as a clear shared understanding of expected standards is what is needed.
