Christmas tree recycling drop off points

Today is the day dictated by tradition where you take down all of your Christmas decorations.

With this in mind there will be a number of Christmas tree recycling points in Douglas over the weekend.

The trees will be collected at different times throughout the weekend.

Once shredded the chippings will be used in the various parks and gardens around Douglas.

The scheme will also be operating in the North with collection points at the Curraghs Wildlife Park aswell as the Ramsey Commissioners' nurseries.

Douglas collection points and times:

Noble’s Park, Grandstand car park on Saturday January 7, 9am-9.45am and Sunday January 8, 4pm-4.45pm.

Governor’s Hill by the play area on Saturday January 7, 10am-10.45am and on Sunday January 8, 3pm-3.45pm.

Central Promenade, opposite the casino, Saturday January 7, 3pm-3.45pm and Sunday January 8, 10am-10.45am. 

Snaefell Road, Willaston, opposite the shops on Saturday January 7, 11am-11.45am and Sunday January 8, 2pm-2.45pm. Farmhill, Stevenson’s Way on Saturday January 8, midday-12.45pm and Sunday January 8, 1pm-1.45pm.

Lord Street car park, next to the Albert Hotel, Saturday January 7, 4pm-4.30pm and Sunday January 8, 9am-9.30am. 

The car park at Anagh Coar on Saturday January 7, 1pm-1.45pm and Sunday January 8, midday-12.45pm.

Pulrose, outside the Douglas council workshop, Saturday January 7, 2pm-2.45pm and Sunday January 8, 11am-11.45am.
