Christmas pension changes announced

The Post Office has confirmed changes to pensions near Christmas.

There will be a double pension day on Friday, December 20 for early payments of the following Friday (December 27).

Meanwhile, allowances due on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day can be collected on Tuesday, December 23 - and those due on New Years Day can be collected on New Years Eve.

The Department of Health and Social Care - which has announced the changes - says they've been made for the convenience of customers during that time.
