Children's reading skills on the rise

Manx youngsters are thought to be more proficient readers than kids in the UK.

It comes after the largest out-of-school summer reading programme that saw nearly 400 children complete the course.

It was organised by the Family Library in Douglas, which says more children than ever are reading on a regular basis.
