Childminders now face tougher regulations

Childminders face tougher regulation in an effort to strengthen standards and keep children safe.

The Department of Health and Social Care has revised care standards for the first time in 10 years. 
 
Among the changes are the need for improved record keeping and a rule where childminders can only look after one baby under 12 months.
