Chief says MHK has 'tainted' Tynwald reputations

North Douglas MHK John Houghton's actions have left a "cloud hanging over Tynwald".

That's according to Chief Minister Allan Bell, who says the reputations of other MHKs were tainted by Mr Houghton neglecting to come forward sooner.

He claimed to have no knowledge that pension contributions weren't being deducted from his monthly salary - and blames Treasury for neglecting to inform him of the deficit.
