Chief Minister sends support to Philippines

The Chief Minister has extended the Island\'s sympathies to the Philippines following Saturday\'s devastating tropical storm.

Typhoon Washi struck the southern Mindanao Island, resulting in flash floods which at the latest count has claimed over a thousand lives, leaving thousands homeless.

In the wake of the tragedy, the Chief Minister has written to the Philippine Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

In the letter the Ramsey MHK highlighted the Island has a number of Phillipino residents, some from the affected region, he offered the Island's support and condolences.
