Chief Minister Alf Cannan says there are no plans to start rationing fuel on the Island.
He says the government will continue to monitor the knock-on effects of the war in Iran but fuel supplies remain steady.
After queues at pumps this week, Mr Cannan says rationing would only be considered if there were what he calls 'significant changes to the fuel supply scenario'.
And he also pointed out the Manx government can't cut fuel duty to help motorists, because the tax is set in agreement with the UK.
