The Chief Minister will meet with Flybe later this week – describing the current situation with the airline as ‘very serious’.
Last week, Flybe announced it would be closing its Isle of Man base putting around 50 jobs at risk.
According to the operator, it’s due to a review of its UK network and an effort to reduce the number of regional bases.
An urgent question on the matter was tabled for today’s sitting of Tynwald.
Allan Bell told Members he will see what government can do to assist:
13 arrested in drink-drive campaign
Laxey road shut until January
Former Motor Museum goes on the market
No Onchan Park plan, say commissioners
Laxey campsite to get campervan improvements
Local authority: don't suffer in silence at Xmas
Government reminder over salt bins
Weather warning in place for high tides
