Chief minster Alf Cannan says although his official gifts are published by the government, departments decide whether to publish lists of presents given to their ministers.
Mr Cannan faced a question for written answer from Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas about the government's policy on ministerial gifts.
It follows revelations in the UK about Prime Minister Keir Starmer's list of gifts from private sources.
The government website shows Mr Cannan's been given pens, mugs, paintings and whiskey this year - but there's no central register for other ministers.
