Chief Minister defends TT World Series spend

Government can't make its investments water-tight.

That's the message from the Chief Minister in defence of plans for a TT World Series concept which have now been scrapped. 
 
Around £270,000 of taxpayers' money was paid to consultants by the Department of Economic Development to speculate on the value of launching the event. 
 
Believing that Minister Laurence Skelly was justified in facilitating the research - Allan Bell says financial risk is inevitable if we want to grow the economy:
