The Chief Minister has joined other political leaders in condemning the terrorist attacks in Israel.
Alf Cannan says his thoughts go out to all those on the Island who have friends and family in the region.
It comes as militant group Hamas has been attacking the area, with a number of British citizens currently missing.
The Chief Minister adds that residents who are intending to travel to Israel should pay close attention to advice being issued by the UK Foreign Office as the situation continues to develop.
The recent Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel are shocking and appalling. I join UK political leaders in unreservedly condemning this terrorist brutality. My thoughts go out to all those on the Island who have friends and family in the region. 1/2
