A charity is urging residents not to release their pets into the wild on Island.
The Manx Wildlife Trust says it's received reports of people spotting different species of turtle in areas such as Scarlett and Ballaugh.
It says people releasing their unwanted and oversized pets into local ponds seems to be a growing trend.
However, it's warning of the negative repercussions this could have - such as the impact on the Island's wildlife, and that many of these animals wouldn't survive a Manx winter.
