The future of the Children's University has been secured after a local charity stepped in to save it.
At the end of last year the Department of Education and Children announced it would be 'winding down' the initiative due to budget cuts.
Connect2Charity has now picked up the scheme which encourages children to collect points by carrying out activities - building up to gaining a 'degree'.
Chairman Kurt Roosen says they look forward to expanding what the scheme already offers:
