Charity money stolen from Santon Church

A small amount of charity money was stolen from Santon Church on Saturday afternoon.

It happened some time between 3-4pm and those responsible damaged two wooden collection boxes which were near the main door to the church. One of the boxes has not been recovered.

PC Hills of Port Erin Police Station said the box has a sunflower pattern on it and they’re are keen to hear from anybody who may know the whereabouts of it.

He added that those responsible left the area in a vehicle possibly at speed and they’d like to speak to the driver of a red vehicle seen in the area at the time.
