A local charity has helped free a pigeon that was trapped inside an empty building.
Manx Wild Bird Aid took to social media to tell the tale yesterday.
The charity was called to help the bird which was stuck inside an unoccupied property in Douglas.
Initially, there was no sign of him when volunteers arrived - however, he was spotted the next day - clearly trapped.
Volunteers say after making numerous calls and searching social media they were able to get in touch with the owner of the building.
Less than 24 hours later - the bird was released.
MWBA has warned birds who find their way into unoccupied buildings will soon perish if they’re unable to get out.
You can donate to the charity here - 100% of the donations go towards the care of sick and injured birds on Island.
