Charity frees trapped sparrowhawk

A hunting bird which trapped itself in a garage has been freed by volunteers.

Manx Wild Bird Aid was called after the sparrowhawk chased a pigeon into a garage where both birds got stuck.

On Facebook, the organisation says the pigeon was quickly freed but the distressed hawk needed some coaxing.

Eventually, however, volunteers managed to show her the exit and she flew off none the worse for her ordeal!
