With the increase of the UK minimum wage, Jersey and Guernsey have followed suit, leaving the Isle of Man lagging behind.
According to the Jersey Evening Post, Guernsey is set to increase its minimum wage to £9.05 an hour, with Jersey proposing theirs be brought up to £9.22.
The Island's minimum wage currently stands at £8.25, with Tynwald approving a recommendation earlier this year to bring it in line with the living wage in the next five years.
Manx Labour Party members, MHKs Sarah Maltby and Joney Faragher are pushing for this to happen sooner.
