The Island's Chamber of Commerce says companies should check candidates they're considering recruiting as immigration rules change.
From Thursday, January 8 anyone applying under worker migrant rules will need more fluency in English to be considered.
On LinkedIn, the Chamber says it could mean better workplace communication but might also mean a smaller pool of potential workers, longer recruitment times and higher costs.
It's advising employers to review candidates as soon as possible.
