Cavendish wins stage 11 and heads to top of points table

Mark Cavendish has secured the Green Jersey today winning stage 11 of the Tour de France.

It finished yet again with Cav and Andre Greipel vying for the top spot, this time the Manx Missile came out on top.

It finished with only a bikes distance between the top world-class sprinters.

It’s his third win in this tour, and his eighteenth of his career; he’s moved to the top of the points leader board with 251pts.

This was the last relatively flat stage before the rider’s head to the Pyrenees tomorrow where it’s described as a grueling challenge for all riders.
