Mark Cavendish said he's "overwhelmed and thankful" for support and well-wishes" after a high speed crash.
The Manx cyclist suffered two broken ribs in a crash at the Six Days of Ghent.
The 36-year-old was competing in the Madison when Olympic and world champion Lasse Norman Hansen crashed in front of him.
He was later taken to hospital on a stretcher and is currently being treated at hospital in Belgium.
In a recent Twitter post from his hospital bed Cav said: "I'm being treated for some broken ribs and a pneumothorax. In a bit of pain but a couple of nights with the incredible staff here at Ghent by University Hospital should sort me out."
Just want to say how overwhelmed & thankful I am for all the support and well-wishes.
