A businessman has found himself in court after a cat triggered an alarm at his home.
Property developer and food waste company owner Michael Osborne of the Ballamodha Straight in Ballasalla appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 75-year-old admitted two counts of illegally possessing ammunition.
The court heard a cat triggered the alarm which automatically alerted the police - when officers arrived they found cartridges for hunting rifles and shotguns for which Osborne did not have a licence.
Osborne was fined £600 for each offence and ordered to pay £50 costs.
