The coastguard says it was involved in flying a patient to the UK for emergency treatment after a serious crash last night.
Police closed the Mountain Road until 1.30am this morning, Friday, May 1, because of the incident.
It happened near the Creg Ny Baa corner yesterday evening, Thursday, April 30.
The helicopter carrying the patient later set off around 3.30am in the early hours of this morning.
