The strategic brief for a planned new school in Castletown is due to be considered by a committee today.
Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan MHK, revealed in the House of Keys this week the brief is on the agenda for the Strategic Asset and Capital Investment Committee for Thursday.
Mr Cannan added further consultation with the Department of Education, Sport & Culture on the business case is expected to take place in the coming weeks after today.
His comments came in response to a question from Arbory, Castletown & Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse who'd asked when the business case for the new school will be assessed.
