A man jailed for abusing teenagers at a care home has had an attempt to shorten his sentence dismissed.
Joseph Henry Marshall, former manager of the Knottfield home in Douglas, was jailed for a total of six years in April for procuring acts of gross indecency and indecent assault on two boys between 1974 and 1982.
He wanted to appeal against his prison term, arguing his age, time already served in prison and delays in going to trial meant his sentence should be reduced.
However, Deemsters Storey and Montgomerie said the sentence was reasonable and refused permission to appeal.
