'Care bubbles' and routine testing for pupils and staff are among ideas being considered for eventually reopening schools.
Education, Sport & Culture Minister, Dr Alex Allinson MHK, spoke at yesterday's Covid-19 briefing and is expected to make a further announcement next week.
All schools, childminders and nurseries have been shut since last Friday (March 5) as a 'firebreak' to curb the spread of Coronavirus, particularly among the Isle of Man's young people.
Dr Allinson has apologised to parents and carers for the ongoing disruption but says safety is of paramount importance.
