Douglas Council spent an estimated £60,000 fitting Christmas lights and decorations in December.
The figure was given by Chair of the Environmental Committee Falk Horning in response to a written question at a council meeting yesterday.
He confirmed the local authority's staff worked 1500 hours and claimed 498 hours in overtime.
Between 15 and 20 percent of the lights weren't fitted compared to 2022.
