Alf Cannan has given a cautious welcome to the news that Jurby will be offered a pre-school facility in conjunction with The Children’s Centre.
However, the Michael MHK feels that the three morning sessions will not fully meet the needs of the area.
Mr Cannan said that Jurby School has successfully run a preschool facility for a number of years, which has been of ‘immense benefit’ to both local children and the wider community.
He said he would do as much as he could to ensure that a much more complete service is put together and that a meeting was already planned with parents at Jurby School in two weeks’ time.
