By-election in Ramsey this week

Two men from Ramsey will be battling it out this week for a place on the board of commissioners.

The town is holding a by-election after Lawrie Hooper was elected to the House of Keys in September, leaving a seat vacant.

Social worker and youth worker Nigel Howard will face outdoor instructor Ffinlo Williams on Thursday.

Polls open from 8am to 8pm and north ward's polling station is at the town hall in Parliament Square.
