A businessman accused of a multimillion pound fraud as he tried to buy an airline and airport is to fight his committal to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Jason Gerard Scales of Douglas Road in Ballasalla appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 28 year old denies fraud, making a fake letter from the Department for Enterprise, and making a fake indemnity from the head of the island’s civil service.
Defence advocate Jim Travers said his client would challenge his committal.
Magistrates bailed Mr Scales in the sum of £2,500 on condition he surrenders his passport and doesn’t leave the Island without permission.
He’s next due to appear in court on March 20.
