MHK to query DOI's 'optimism bias'

Should the Department of Infrastructure assume the worst rather than suffering from optimism bias?

That's the issue that'll be raised by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim glover during tomorrow's Tynwald sitting.

He's due to quiz Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall about the margin for rising costs left when calculating the cost of work - and what the phrase optimism bias means after it was used in a document about the Douglas Horse Tramway.

Tynwald's June sitting is due to get underway from 10am on Tuesday, June 16.
