Businesses urged to register their companies

The Department of Economic Development have launched a campaign to encourage local businesses to register their company.

Legislation in the Isle of Man requires that any individual, firm or company that conducts business or trading activity under a name other than its own to be registered.

If a business is registered it affords it increased protection and provides official notice to other that it is already taken.

It's thought around 400 business are currently yet to register themselves.

All forms and further information can be obtained from Companies Registry or downloaded from the website.
