Bushy\'s Owner Speaks to 3FM About Economic Downturn Affecting Pub Trade
3Fm have been speaking to Bushy’s owner Martin Brunsschweiler to see how drastically the Island’s nightlife trade has been affected by the recent economic downturn.
It would appear there has been a steady decline around the pubs over the past 18 months, in the UK it's reported 50 pubs a week are having to close.
Martin said the slow down can be accredited to a number of factors, cheap supermarket alcohol and the smoking ban being among them.
He said it's highly feasible that closures could start to become more commonplace over here unless drastic measures are taken.
