The Department of Infrastructure says buses made a loss of £7 million this year.
In the DoI’s annual report it says that Bus Vannin made £5,210,000 in the last financial year.
But recorded that it cost £12,195,000 to run the service, resulting in a £6,985,000 loss for the department.
Cost saving measures have already began on bus services with the route to Cregneash and the Sound axed.
